Is Pasta Alfredo Safe on HCG Diet?

Ingredients :
- 4 cups (cooked) pasta
- 1 tbsp flour or cornstarch
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- ¾ cup 1 or 2% milk
- Sea salt/black pepper (to taste)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 TBSP olive oil
Direction:
- Add olive oil and garlic in a large saucepan, over high heat. Stir for at least 10 seconds, and mix pasta and stir well.
- Add ¼ cup milk and flour/cornstarch and shake vigorously in a small container with tight lid.
- Slowly drizzle into pan, while stirring. Stir pasta, slowly adding the remainder of the milk, being sure that it is thoroughly-coated with the sauce.
- Reduce heat to med-low.
- Add more milk, if necessary. Remove from heat, and fold-in almost all of the Parmesan cheese. This should bind the sauce, nicely to the pasta. Adorn with remaining grated Parmesan cheese.
